| The
same situation faced the Knights on the Sunday at home, with the same line
up as Saturday, with the exceptions of John Jeffery out through injury,
and the returning Darren Keen in defence, and left winger
Roman Svoma, who
flew in from the Czech Republic earlier in the day.
With the Scorpions starting out with 3 goals in under four minutes, the Knights replied through a goal at 7:59 from Simon Rawlins, the Scorpions then netted again before Simon scored his second of the night. The period score a respectable 5– 2 to the Scorpions. The second saw a more even game with almost equal shots at both ends, although the Scorpions made the most of their chances scoring 3 to the Knights 1, extending their lead to 8 – 3. The Scorpions continued to pile on the pressure throughout the third, with the effect of two games with a short bench, on the weekend beginning to show. The flow of unanswered goals ended with a third for Simon Rawlins to complete his hat-trick. The final score Scorpions 14 - 4 Knights.
