Match Report

This was the Knights first meeting with the Chelmsford Nighthawks this season.........

The first period saw plenty of shots on goalie Steve Grout who started in net for the Knights. The Nighthawks attacked the net & opened the scoring just 4 minutes into the game.......  It took the Knights 15 minutes to reply with a goal from Chris Spencer, leaving the 1st period 1-1.

The Second period opened with a one shot one goal scenario from Juha Kammonen which was soon followed by goals from Peter Popluhar & Man of the Match, Chris Spencer.  Halfway through the period saw Knights goalies change & Andrejs Zukovskis replaced Steve in net.

The Knights continued the attack on the Nighthawks & tempers flared on both side resulting in a few fisticuffs & roughing penalties were given to both sides & a 10 minute misconduct going to the Nighthawk's Dave Capps.  But with further goals from Ryan Beech & Juha Kammonen the Nighthawks could not reply.  Credit goes to both Steve & Andrejs alike for facing 26 & 28 shots respectively.
