Match Report

This was the second meeting between the two Kent teams & the Knights were looking forward to a good clean local derby.

Sami Kasteniemi was first to find the net in the opening period with goals from Petr Popluhar & Ryan Beech soon following.  A few minor penalties were called on both teams & tempers flared up between Neil Ratcliffe & Barry Spours which resulted in both receiving 5 + Game & watching the game from the stands....... Two more Knights goals from Juha Kammonen & Chris Sharlow ensured the Knights stayed ahead & with a few more minor penalties the Knights needed to find the discipline to stay out of the box.
 
The second period saw fewer penalties & lots more goals, which came from Petr, Ben Fitzsimons, Sami (again!) & Bob Jacobs.... & with Netminder Steve Grout in goal, a clean sheet would make the game complete......
 
The third saw Sami come out guns blazing & putting the puck in the net after only 15 seconds.  Petr soon followed with 2 unanswered goals leaving Steve with that all important "shutout" that both he & the team deserved!
