Match Report

 Knights Battle of the Solent........

This was the Knights first meeting with the Solent Scorpions this season & with a few Scorpions moving up to play league it was going to be an interesting game.......... 

The first period saw the plenty of shots at both ends of the rink but the Knights found the net 14.17 into the game with a goal from Mark Graham which was soon followed by a Ninja-like shot coming from Chris Spencer.

The second period saw the Knights pile on the pressure with 20 shots on goal producing goals from Neil (Finally got to score his first goal ever at this venue!), Tony Wood, Doug Miller, Mark Graham & Tim Bill, with plenty of assists all round too......... Was it now too much to ask that Steve Grout could keep a clean sheet?

The third period saw a lack of discipline from the Scorpions in the form of a few roughing penalties but Steve Grout was on hand to ensure the Scorpions knew who was Boss....... With one final goal from Petr Popluhar the tally was set to 8 goals...& Man of the Match went deservedly to Steve Grout.
