Match Report

With the Christmas season in full swing it was a short Knights bench that iced against the Statesmen......

Darren Carter was back between the pipes whilst Andrejs was back home in Latvia. With shots being fired at him from all directions it was sooner rather than later when the Vistiors started to score.... With 3 goals on the scoreboard the Knights were going to have to push hard to get the offence play going. Petr found the net with an assist going to Spence & Tero. The Statesmen replied almost immediately & a big shot from D-man Chris Shardlow found the net with an assist going to Rookie Chris Robins with 1 second left on the clock!

The Knights dominated the second period with a quick goal from Dazza Chapman, assisted by old-timer Neil (Dad) Ratclifffe. The Statesmen quickly answered back with a goal. It was Ben's turn to score next aided by Mark (Monkey) Graham with new boy Lloyde Fuller showing his worth by making the initial play.

With only 1 goal to separate both teams the third period was gonna be a toughie. The Statesmen opened the scoring which was quickly counter-acted by a Neil, Dazza combination goal. 2 further goals from the Statesmen widened the gap but Ben stepped up the pace with a pass from Mark & Lloyde, thus showing good teamwork with this new line combination.
