Match Report The knights made their 2nd visit to the slough arena this season, the last road trip produced a 5 - 1 victory but a below par performance. The game started slowly for the knights, but it was clear the knights were a far stronger team this time round, with some experienced players returned to the line up. At 13.17 the constant pressure finally paid off when Sámi scored assisted by Chris Robbins, this opened the flood gates Rats 2, Petr, Joel and Sámi scored again to finish the period 6 nil up. It only took 1.15 seconds of the 2nd period for rats to supply Petr for the 7th goal, the 8th followed just 8 seconds later, a swift quality double by Russia made it 10. Petr then assisted 2 straight goals scored by rats and finally Spence, who was having more luck getting the puck in the net off the ice, than on it!!! DC jumped in between the pipes for an unwell André, the Satan's rarely troubled him. 2 short handed goals finished off the period scored by Petr and assisted by Daz and Rats. The 3rd period had to be running clock due to earlier delays, only two further goals were scored, both by rats and assisted by Petr. The third period started get physical with the Knights 3rd line, so the knights 1st and 2nd lines stepped up and threw the body, one of the Satan's player decided (despite several warnings from the away bench) to fight American tough guy Joel, anyway 2 game penalties, a sore black eye and bruised knuckles for Joel it was over. Final score 16 - 3 to the knights. Reporter : Neil Ratcliffe |
