Match Report Today we welcome another new team for the Ice Bowl in the form of the British Army Blades, which flew in from all over to fulfil this fixture. As
neither team had met up before it was hard to judge how
the game would unfold.
The first period saw an immediate
goal from Chris Spencer with an assist going to Petr.
Play was fast & furious and
when Sami took a pot luck shot from the blue line, it
ricochets off the post, hit the keeper in the back &
dropped across the line to produce the 2nd
Knights goal.
The 3rd
goal came again from a pass from Petr to Neil, who fired
the puck home giving a 3-0 lead to the Knights.
The Blades were not beaten back and
capitalised on a powerplay goal while Chris Spencer was
sitting a slashing penalty.
More goals from Petr, Neil &
Sami pushed the lead ahead with assists going to Darren
Chapman & Chris Spencer.
The third period produced an
unassisted goal from Neil, again the Blades answered
back with a goal.
With 5 minutes to go before
the final buzzer, Darren Chapman made a long pass to
Neil, who passed in front of net to Petr….who in turn
fired the puck past the keeper to end the game. Reporter : Sue Webber |
