Match Report This game started off with a big hit, however it was in the changing rooms before the game when Keeny gave Spence a bloody nose for messing with what remains of his hair!!!! This was the first meeting between these two sides, it was the Blizzard's first real outing as a team. The score line does suggest that this was a serious walkover but it was a very good display by the knights which most teams would have struggled to cope with, passing and moving all over the ice, this is backed up by the 43 assists scored by the knights.
There were a couple of notable achievements, Tim Bill registering his first 5 point game, a double strike by Tero, DC popping one in from the blue line, Chris Shardlow having the most shots by one player in a game ever (and still not scoring), rats for actually giving up a goal he was credited with but didn't score (you owe me monkey), but the greatest achievement of the night was our very own Darren "agro, caribean, keano"
Keene scoring his first ever competitive goal despite having played for 10 years!!! Well done Daz. Keeny's strike was the last goal of the game, the on ice bundle that followed resulted in 3 delaying the game penalties for the knights. The Blizzards are a very friendly team who didn't stop trying all night (Well done), I look forward to their game against the Medway madness, it should be a more competitive event, thanks for the game boys and girls good luck against the Satan's in a few weeks. Keep an eye on the website for pictures of the Keeny bundle, but if you missed it don't worry because Spence has it "TAPED"!!!!!! Reporter : |
